Our teen son just became a licensed driver and we wanted to get a good quality dash cam for his protection. We have heard several stories of teen drivers being involved in accidents and not having proof the other driver was as fault. I did a fair amount of research and decided to buy this camera instead of a Garmin that my friend installed in his teens vehicle.
The install in our Honda Accord was very easy and the supplied tools tucked the wires in with ease. The camera itself disappears behind the rear view mirror. We don’t notice the rear camera at all. We didn’t want the camera to be a distraction.
The camera is easy to operate. The supplied SD card holds several days worth of recordings. The “lane assist” feature is nice and annoying at the same time. We leave it on because our son is a new driver and it helps keep him in the lane. The “collision avoidance” is also nice and annoying. Again we leave it on to keep our son from tailgating other vehicles.
My wife was driving the vehicle yesterday and had another vehicle driving directly towards her. This camera helped us get the license plate of that vehicle. Luckily there was no collision.
I absolutely love having a dash cam in my car and this one was perfect. The camera quality is outstanding, and it was very easy to install. It functions the way it should and I love being able to go back and watch my drives. The design is very small and slim and not too bulky. I find it very durable, and it's held up for months now.
This camera is made very well, it definitely feels solid out of the box. Speaking of that, unboxing this definitely feels like a premium experience, not like some of the cheaper $50 dash cams out there. In the box is the camera itself, the rear camera, power cable with 12v car plug, cable for the rear camera, panel trim tool, 64GB SD card, instructions, and a few pieces of anti-static film and adhesive for mounting.
When I installed the camera initially, I put the film on the windshield and then only put the plastic mount piece on that and let it sit about a day. I wanted to let it get a good grip before putting any weight on it, and this camera weighs a decent amount (again, it's not one of those cheap-feeling ones).
Honestly I personally don't really care about all of the bells and whistles like a phone app, etc. The main reason for a dash cam for me is to capture video in the event of an accident, to show proof of speed, who's at fault, etc. I once saw a video where a car cut off another car, trying to cause a low-speed rear-end collision. When the driver didn't hit the car who cut him off, the slowed down and eventually stopped and backed into the car. This was all caught on the rear car's dash cam, proving his innocence and the crime of the front car.
This camera has pretty decent low-light visibility but is not the best when it's totally dark out. The video I've attached show's 20 seconds of dusk driving, then 20 seconds of night driving, and you can see a bit of a drop in quality at night. Daytime video looks great though.
One cool thing I noticed while we were driving is that the camera detected the car in front of is and popped up a little circle around it with the distance to the car (that did not get recorded onto the video). I'm not sure if it was accurate because it was small and hard to read for my old eyes. It also only happened once on the drive that I noticed so I'm not sure how that feature works exactly, but I thought it was pretty cool.
Overall, this is a pretty solid dash cam if you aren't super concerned about night time video.
Crisp, clear images. Sturdy and well designed. The cling on piece you put on the glass before adhering the sticky tab doesnt really work so I put the sticky tab directly on the glass. Love how easy it was to set up. Bought a few more for my other cars.
This is a combined kit of both front dashcam and a rear dashcam. The cameras come neatly packed in a luxurious box similar to an Apple product, film sealed - it heightens the impression of quality. All the relevant wires and attachment pads are provided, and written instructions which are clear and easy to understand - it walks you through the installation procedure in simple steps. Both dashcam are neatly designed, feel durable, and I particularly like the fact they are small enough not to be intrusive on either windscreen - they can be positioned out of normal road line of sight with ease. The attachment pads have so far bonded well to the windscreens, with no hint of loosening or wobbling in use. By their very nature cable routing particularly on the rear cam needs sufficient attention to detail to make it look neat and not a messy afterthought, but this applies pretty much to any installation and not just the Wolfbox. Performance: the front camera is amazingly sharp in daylight conditions, number plate recognition is super easy. The rear is noticeably softer, but still acceptable. As you would expect, night performance is worse, but again this is not specific to the Wolfbox, and all footage recorded is quite usable, as either video or still capture. It’s very useful having inbuilt wi-fi, so you don’t have to remove the provided sd card to transfer images, and it is even more surprisingly quite fast, and this is probably the standout feature I loved the most, it makes the system seriously practical and you are more likely to use it as a result. Menu systems in the software are easy to navigate once you get the hang of it, but to be honest the default settings are pretty good anyway, and there is little reason to deviate away from these, so it is pretty much a plug and play installation. The price is competitive, and represents good value against the established opposition. To summarise the good points are the well designed quality cameras and the easy of plug and play installation. The downloading speed using the integrated wifi is the standout feature. The only minor drawbacks are the slight softness of the rear camera images and the inevitable cable routing which can be fiddly to make look neat and tidy. On balance this gives it a four star rating, and the product represents good value for the feature list and quality of the implementation.
I got this for Christmas of 2025, and I absolutely love this so far! I really like how the video quality looks for both the front and rear cameras. The Night vision looks sharp, and the quality is made pretty well. The size of the screen is perfect that it isn’t to big that would cause a distraction. The installing of it was kinda funky at first, but once I got it with the help of my dad, it was pretty easy. Since it does come with the WOLFBOX auto app, you can easily have access to the videos from the dishcam on your phone through the app. Overall, you’re definitely getting your money out of this dash cam! Will use this brand for dash cams again if I ever need to get a new dash cam in the future.
This is my second purchase of the rear view dash cam by WOLFBOX (two vehicles). The first is several years old and zero issues.
Ready to install out of the box, the setup includes a sd card (I drive a lot so replaced the 64gb with a 246gb), everything is included except a small screwdriver if you decide to change the rear cam mount.
Loaded with features, the software set up on this cam is super easy.
A dash cam is a MUST due to other drivers and to have evidence in case of a motor vehicle accident.

Excellente qualité d'image, la double caméra est un vrai plus, on peut surveiller à l'avant et à l'arrière, mais il faudra passer de nombreux câbles dans l'habitacle et la brancher sur l'allume cigare, c'est donc une intégration qui produit du "bazar" dans l'habitacle, et c'est dommage. J'aurais préféré un système qui puisse se brancher sur les câbles de la voiture pour une intégration vraiment discrète.
I picked up the WOLFBOX X3 Dash Cam after shopping around for a while and I’m glad I did! The video quality is super clear on both the front and rear cameras, so I feel way more secure having it in my car. Both daytime and nighttime footage is impressive, and I can actually make out license plates—huge plus.
Setting it up wasn’t too bad. Connecting the cameras and running the wires took a bit of patience, but the included tools helped. I do wish the adhesive mounting was a little stronger for the front cam, but it’s holding up so far. Once everything was plugged in, I played around with the menu and touch screen—it’s simple to use and pretty responsive.
The ADAS features (like lane departure alerts) can be handy, though sometimes the beeps are a bit much and I ended up turning some of them off. The Wi-Fi connection to my phone let me quickly check and download videos, which I totally love. Also, it comes with a 64GB SD card already, so it’s basically ready to go.
Overall, it’s a feature-packed dash cam for a good price. If you want solid video, easy access to footage, and some extra safety features, this one’s a strong choice!
I’ve bought, tested and installed multiple dash cams for customers vehicles and my personal ones. Wolfbox and viofo are my two personal choices of brands. This one works great for a daily dash camera. Night and day time footage are great and clear for license plate footage. Storage capacity is good with the highest going to 256gb I believe. More than enough room for daily trips and the occasional long trip. Hardware the unit for parking sensing just in case your car gets hit while parked, it’ll trigger by motion sensing and g sensitivity. There is ai built in notifying you of lane change/departure, close impact warning/tailgating. I highly recommend this as I’ve been using and testing this out for awhile and it nets my criteria. No issues to be seen with it
Nice quality - install was kinda/sorta goofy ... initially thought camera wanted a std 12v source - nope - it really runs on a 5v input. Luckily I had a high quality braided USB cable already run & just had to use a USB-C to Std USB adapter. Once plugged in - the camera booted right up. NOTE - the camera comes with a ridiculous 2.5" power adapter - "if" your vehicle use a std 5v USB plug - use that - the camera will work just fine - just remember to use a really high quality USB cable (think Braided UGreen or Anker - available here on Amazon). Backup Camera installation worked fine as well. In case ya'll are wondering what vehicle - 2021 Ford Ranger Extended Cab (not the 4 door version). Overall - another decent camera from WolfBox - probably my 12th one I've bought. I recommend/install these to my friends & family & wind up doing the install's of course ... Final NOTE ... bought this camera as it seems - camera's with the in cabin camera view are starting to take over & I have ZERO interest in watching myself drive thank you very much. Unless your a Uber driver or some other rideshare - what's the point ?
If you are considering buying this, just do it. Everything you need in a dashcam, and more. Lost 1 star because the mount needs to be “pressed on a bit” every few weeks or so. Doesn’t fail completely, but start to bubble up and get loose.
I’ve been using the WOLFBOX X3 for a while now, and overall, I’m really pleased with it. The camera feels well-built, the touchscreen is responsive, and setup was straightforward once I figured out the cable routing. The picture quality is excellent, sharp and detailed in the daytime, and surprisingly clear at night thanks to the STARVIS 2 sensor. The GPS and Wi-Fi features make it easy to track routes and transfer clips straight to my phone without removing the SD card.
The parking mode is another great feature, it records automatically if the car is bumped or movement is detected, which gives me peace of mind when I leave it parked. The interface is simple and the system feels reliable overall, which is exactly what I want from a dash cam.

I owned several dashcams before this one; all claimed 4K recording and clear capture of licence plates day and night. Most were short of their claims, sadly. However, this WOLFBOX X3 2.5K 2-Channel Dashcam (with WiFi, GPS, Front and Rear channels) delivers on most aspects. In the daytime, the picture quality is great, and you can actually zoom in through the video or photo and see the licence plates of cars as far as 5 m (front cam) or 3 m (back cam). At night, however, it gets a shorter range (around 4 m for the front cam and 1 meter for the back cam), but you can still read the licence plates even when there is a lot of flare. Finally, I really liked the association with the smartphone app, which was very intuitive and super easy to use, with lots of features.
Instructions a little vague and can't handle heat the best. Had to replace sd as soon as getting in the first day because sd it comes with causes it to freeze.
