Distinguished from the Gift 4 Fuse Tap Cable, VoltAdjust Hardwire Kit provides essential protection for your vehicle's battery. It features an adjustable voltage regulator specifically designed for 12V or 24V systems. With three customizable settings (11.6V, 12V, and 12.4V for 12V; 23.6V, 24V, and 24.4V for 24V), it ensures stable performance, prolongs battery life, and safeguards your vehicle's electronics. Shield your battery and enjoy peace of mind with our VoltAdjust Hardwire Kit. (Every time the voltage switch button is adjusted, the display will first show the currently set protection voltage, and then within 2 seconds, it will display the current voltage of the car battery. When the car battery voltage reaches the currently set protection voltage, it will automatically shut off within 5 minutes and stop supplying power to the dashboard.)

The above three hardwire kit step-by-step installation tutorials:

      1. Before you start installing, make sure you have everything you need and that you're in a safe environment.
      2. Find your car's fuse box. It's usually located either under the dashboard on the driver's side or in the engine compartment.
      3. Inside the fuse box, you'll see different slots where fuses are placed. Look for the ACC (Accessory) fuse slot. This slot provides power when you turn on the ignition. Also, find the constant power fuse slot, which provides power even when the ignition is turned off.
      4. Take the red wire from the hardwire kit and connect it to the ACC fuse slot. This will ensure that the dash cam receives power when you turn on the car's ignition.

Connect the yellow wire from the hardwire kit to the constant power fuse slot. You can use a fuse tap or a fuse adapter to make the connection. This will provide power to the dash cam even when the car's ignition is turned off.

              5. Look for a suitable grounding point near the fuse box. It should be a metal surface that is firmly connected to the vehicle's chassis.

              6. Connect the black wire from the hardwire kit to the grounding point using a ring terminal or a suitable grounding connector. This ensures that the dash cam has a proper electrical ground.

              7. Once all the connections are secure, neatly tuck away any excess wires -and ensure they are safely routed to avoid interfering with the vehicle's controls or causing any hazards.
              8. To check if the hardwire kit is working correctly, turn on the car's ignition. The dash cam should receive power and start functioning as expected.

Tips: The most common location of the car OBD interface for the driver is the lower left of the trim panel under the steering wheel. However, the location of the OBD will be slightly different depending on the origin and model year of the vehicle. Some are above the accelerator pedal, or near the driver's side fuse box, some are in front of the shift lever, etc. Please choose the most suitable location for installation.
