My main takeaway is I love that it is a 2-in-1 system that incorporates/replaces the whole rear view mirror, and not some add-on that goes next to it and more than not gets in the way. This way, you only have one thing to worry about, and also makes it less likely that some crook would know it’s a camera add-on and try to break into your car to steal it. Making is less conspicuous also allows for recording of the truth, as those who know they are on-camera might act differently.I’m not going to lie, I’m not a techie so I didn’t want to install this myself. I had a professional friend did it for me, and it took him about 45 minutes. I’m thinking for the average person it might take a couple hours. But good things come to those who wait, as this works great. The back-up camera is super neat – something like this as an option for new cars would cost hundreds, so even if you want to have a professional install it for you it would still be worth it.There are two features that stand out most for me. First is the loop recording, which replaces the earliest recording when it runs out of space. A 32gb microSD card is included, so you don’t even have to buy one. If you do decide to buy one, such 32gb cards are super cheap nowadays. But don’t buy any higher, as recording systems nowadays are stuck at 32gb max. The second feature is the auto-save of the video when it senses a sudden jerk or hard vibration, like when your car is impacted. Remember to take out the card and save it to your computer for evidence just in case the other bugger tries to place the blame on you after the fact, as police no longer decides who’s at fault for minor traffic accidents, and let the insurance companies duke it out. That is the main reason why everyone should have a dash cam nowadays. I heard that in Russia accidents and road-rage beatdowns are so common that it’s common-sense for everyone to have one. YouTube “Russia road rage” if you don’t believe me. They don’t play around over there.Anyways, this is almost a required item for your car nowadays, and the fact that they also throw in a back-up camera in there for you is the cherry on top. And at $80 when I got it, it is an absolute steal. An easy recommendation.

This mirror dash cam is super awesome, it is touch screen and also came with a 32 GB memory card, so it is ready to use after you install it. My husband is in to cars and he customizes the car himself, it was easy for him to install the dash cam, and took him about two hours. The feature that I like the most is it can split the screen to two and have both front and rear view when you are driving, it helps you to be able to see the blind spots and records the video footage in case of a car accident. Our car already has the back up camera, but a front camera is still great to have for parking, This dash cam is in high resolution, the video quality is very good, even at night. Do not forget to unplug the dash cam before you leave your car, otherwise it might kill your battery, we forgot to unplug it once over the night and luckily that the battery was still fine. We have not tested out the lane departure warning yet, but it is definitely a cool feature to have, especially for long time driving and student drivers.

This is a combination that is unlike anything on the market! Forget regular dash cams! This records front and rear with sound and a timestamp with gps location and speed! Can your average dash cam do that? I highly recommend for any vehicle as even if you dont want the backup camera, the screen can go into screensaver mode and be used as a regular mirror! There are so many methods to use this device! The camera records front and rear in 1080p and comes with a provided 32gb memory card included! Installation is easy and I highly recommend for any car you own!

I was really hoping this mirror dash cam would take care of my need for a discreet camera to capture images in the event of an accident or other incident. Being able to capture license plate info may be critical depending on circumstances.Where this device struggles the most is in low light conditions, as it tends to pick up a lot of glare, whether it is at dusk, dawn, or even worse, at night. It also has issues with image clarity—mostly at night, but during daylight as well (see photos).I find the touchscreen interface on this device is less intuitive than other mirror dash cams that I’ve tried out. I also wish the device was a little wider on the right, so that it would fully cover my factory mirror; and if it could shift right just a little bit more so that my sunvisor would not make contact with it when I open the visor for shade.Unlike other dash cams which have a USB power input and a camera wire that is separate, this device has a wiring harness that does not separate from the main unit. While this may initially sound convenient from an installation point of view, because there is only one wire to contend with (actually one and a half, since the wire eventually splits in two to separate the power supply from the rear camera input). However, if anything ever goes wrong with the device (like the power adapter, for example), you can’t replace the power adapter with out pulling all the wires out. I already have USB-A plugs installed near the overhead console, so it would be more convenient for me to plug in a short USB cable to keep wires from dangling and out of view, as well as eliminate the visibility of a power block adapter and related wire. But instead, I am forced to use the integrated power block.Sadly, the camera fails at capturing clear images of other vehicles and their related license plate info, and that is a deal breaker for me. If that is not something you require, then perhaps this product model will suffice for you.

It wasn’t hard to install after I got started. It’s a cool thing.

  8. j. bamberg

Great product and great customer service. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the first one didnt work properly. Seller was quick and courteous.

  9. Missy G.

I love it. Even catches my blind spots.

  10. anthony j haas

    Lot of wires to hide

  11. Eric M

This dash cam is really nice and really easy to set up! When it’s not in use it doubles as your rear view mirror and when it is in use it’s a touch screen so it’s really easy to operate. Two of the really nice features that it comes with are the GPS and the rear facing camera. With the GPS going you’ll not only know where you are but you can track the speed that you’re going as well. The rear facing camera makes it so you can easily record forwards and backwards at the same time . Both cameras work really well and have nice clear images in both day and night. This is definitely something worth having for your own safety and also great for catching video of wildlife.

I like it very much, I even bought a second one for my brother. The only down size of it is that after using your car you have to dim it all the way down otherwise it will run your battery down and /or if you do not use your car everyday, if leave the unit plug and try to use the car 2 days after, car wont start. Besides that… it is very good.!

Bought for son-in-laws work truck. He loves it for backup mirror and recording qualities

After disabling reverse gear, the system does not automatically enter screen saver mode. The rear camera image continues to be displayed on the screen. To use the screen as a mirror, you must press the button at the bottom of the screen. Can this function be performed automatically?

  18. Imran Shah

The wiring harness design is the best look for any dashcam as it looks more professional and factory like. No hanging wires.

    Ok

Works great, my only issue is that it does not record the rear camera data in the event recorder.

Great product, was easy to install. I like that you can view the front and rear camera at the same time, gps has been accurate when checking my speed.

    amazing quality, will buy again

  25. Mr. C.

It’s pretty nice except for the reflective quality of the screen. This makes it hard to view. I bought this because I got a topper for my truck and can no longer see out of my back window. The cable length was long enough to route around the windshield, down inside the dash, behind the kickplate, under both door jams, out the door, around the corner and across to the bed, up across the inside of the topper, and to the middle where the breaklight is located with a couple of feet to spare. Rear image was upsidedown but I was able to flip it in the settings. Should make hooking up a trailer easy, which is nice.

This product can work properly, the most important thing is that it is easy to install and does not take me too much time, I like it.

  27. Amazon Customer

Camera was very low quality. Had a great picture on the giant mirror screen until I went through a car wash. Water got inside the housing and completely blocked the view. When it dried it left streaks and a film making it hard to see out of. They won’t just send a replacement camera so I had to remove the entire thing and send it back. I am getting a refund and will not buy another one like this. One other thing, the instructions are useless.

  28. dbmotors

Good looking mirror with great cameras

  29. SALMONSLAYER

Great Camera/Mirror Setup.Touchscreen, you can move view left right up down. Compass and Mph are accurate. Easy install. I added the hardwire kit so it stays on longer after you shut off vehicle.Bright screen. A must for my FJ which has many rear blindspots. I haven’t used them Lane Departure Warning yetI just really like being able to see behind me clearly and better than I ever had before in the FJ. Might get one for my truck.
